Giving Thanks (poetry)

Giving Thanks

The earth grows so cold
As winter draws near,
The flowers and plants will soon disappear,

The days are too short,
The sun hides from sight,
And shadows turn quickly to darkness and night,

But thankfulness comes
In the midst of these hours,
I dream of rebirth and precious spring flowers,

I dream of the life
So precious and true,
The life that God’s given to me and to you,

I thank God for you,
 I thank God for me,
And thank Him for all of the goodness I see.

  1. What a GORGEOUS tree! We had a beautiful fall here -- one of the prettier ones I think. But it did not last long. We had a big wind that blew off a lot of the leaves sooner than they might have fallen. So nice to see your picture and appreciate the beauty again.

  2. Fall colors at their best defy description. I'm glad I could share a bit of our Ohio autumn.
